Laurie was born in Victoria, BC on March 23, 1920 and passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 3, 2014 at the age of 94. He was born in Victoria and spent most of his life in Langford.He was predeceased by the Love of his Life, Ivy, in 2004 and son Bruce in 1947. Survived by his daughters Lynn, Joyce (Cliff) and Gwen, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his sister, Verna Langrish. Lawrence was a decendant of the Parker family, a pioneer family of the Metchosin area.Dad will be deeply missed by his family, we have fond memories of his love of fishing with brothers Will and Norm, and of sprouting plants, maintaining his vegetable garden and harvesting the wonderful produce each year that he shared with neighbours and friends.A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
